The First Chapter

They met in the narrow hallways of high school — two souls orbiting closer with every stolen glance. Their laughter spilled between lockers, their hands brushed in passing, and in each other’s company, time felt like an easy tide. But tides change.

R drifted north to the University of Washington, E stayed in the Bay Area. What began as gentle distance became oceans apart. The connection lingered — unspoken, unfinished — until it quietly settled into memory.

A Fateful Return

Years later, under the pulse of music and neon glow of Music Festival, the world narrowed again. Thousands danced, but they only saw each other. The air felt charged, like lightning striking the same place twice. This wasn’t coincidence — it was the universe clearing its throat, reminding them of what once was. And this time, they didn’t look away.

The Second Beginning

Life, in its quiet orchestration, set the stage. As E prepared to move to Phoenix for school, R’s career led him to the very same city. It was as though someone had drawn their paths with a single line. Their days filled with the comfort of certainty, the laughter of knowing, we’re exactly where we’re meant to be.

The Proposal by the Sea

On the edge of the world — or so it felt — the Carmel coastline stretched in cliffs and salt-washed stone. The ocean roared, the wind tangled E’s hair, and the sun spilled gold across the horizon. Here, R asked the only question that made sense in that moment. And there, with joy brimming in her voice, she said yes.

The Engagement Session — Light, Laughter, and the Sound of Waves

We wandered through Point Lobos, where cypress shadows tangled with sunlight and waves broke like applause against the shore. They moved as if they’d always been in step — playful, unguarded, entirely themselves. Sometimes they laughed until their shoulders shook; other times they stood still, letting the quiet say everything.

From the cliffs of Point Lobos to Murrieta’s Well Winery, their story feels stitched together by fate. Every frame we made that day carries a piece of it — the wind, the salt air, the unshakable truth that some loves don’t fade… they wait.

A Love Meant to Return

From high school hallways to distant cities, from separate lives to a shared horizon — R & E’s journey is proof that the heart remembers. And when it finds its way back, it holds on.
